Darlene has practiced in every aspect of family law since she joined the firm in 2012. She has significant experience litigating disputes involving custody, access, support, property and all legal rights that arise from a marriage or relationship breakdown.
Darlene holds an H.B.A. from the University of Toronto and received her J.D. from the University of Windsor.
Darlene has completed training in mediation and uses alternative dispute resolution techniques in family disputes when appropriate.
In 2009, Darlene clerked for the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories in Yellowknife where she had the opportunity to develop her advocacy skills. While in law school, Darlene co-founded a chapter of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (L.E.A.F.) in Windsor. Darlene continues to be a member of L.E.A.F. Darlene is also a member of the Family Lawyer’s Association and the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO).
In her free time, Darlene enjoys biking, camping and playing hockey. Darlene is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and welcomes all Portuguese and Spanish speaking clients.
