I am a Registered Psychotherapist and work with Individuals, couples and family therapy for teens and adults.
When I look at therapy I think of the words hope, safety and goals. I have hope that you can take steps toward your goals, no matter what they are, when you are able to feel a sense of safety. Whether you need a safe place to process what you are going through, or you have specific goals to achieve, there is room for you to start taking steps forward in your life.
My training is from a family systems perspective so I understand how a challenge with one person can impact everyone around you. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, life transitions, low self-esteem, and grief. I have worked with clients to recover from the brink of divorce and to learn a new way of life after separation (whether that means co-parenting, moving on, or processing losses).
I tend to take an integrative approach to therapy so sessions can fit to your specific goals. My approach includes CBT, skills-training, DBT, or relationship skills training. Underneath it all is my sense of hope that we can experience improvement in their situation, from baby steps to life change.
